Welcome to the Society for Responsible Preventive Imaging. We’re an association of imaging center medical professionals intent on maintaining the highest standards of quality and ethical responsibility in the emerging field of preventive imaging.

This website will also familiarize you with Electron Beam Tomography (EBT), the CT imaging technology utilized at all of our affiliate centers. Although there are other CT imaging technologies used for preventive imaging, EBT is the only technology proven to detect early coronary plaque through coronary calcium scoring, and is backed by hundreds of published studies, papers and clinical trials.

SRPI seeks to educate medical professionals, associations and the general public about preventive imaging and its usefulness as a screening tool for certain life-threatening diseases. This site will provide links to extensive research and published articles demonstrating the medical validity and viability of EBT imaging, guidelines for who should be screened and how often, and other pertinent information in an objective, non-sensationalized format.
