Hard work pays off. And at this year’s Colorado Healthcare Communicators (CHC) 2012 Gold Leaf Awards, we were rewarded for our hard work in a big way!
Taking home three Silver Leaf Awards and four Bronze Leaf Awards, we set an internal agency record for the greatest number of awards won in a single competition specific to health care marketing. Here’s the run down of the winning projects:
Advertisements that worked
A couple of advertisements from the rebranding campaign for Anova Cancer Care made an impression and garnered results. The direct-response television ad campaign and two-page direct-response print ad used thought-provoking questions and dynamic, high-tech visuals to capture both the attention — and the imagination — of those newly diagnosed with certain types of cancer.
- Silver Leaf Award: Broadcast Advertising — Anova Cancer Care, Direct Response TV
- Bronze Leaf Award: Single Print Advertisement — Anova Cancer Care, Cancer Treatment Evolved
Beneficial community relations
Radiology Associates of Hartford wanted to host a women’s health event aimed at promoting early detection of breast cancer and providing additional screening opportunities for women in the community. Effective coordination with community businesses and proactive media relations anchored the successful development and implementation of the Mammothon event. This “marathon of mammograms” took place for 26.2 continuous hours, and provided important screenings to women in Connecticut; a state with the second highest incidence of breast cancer in the U.S. Most importantly, women without insurance received exams free of charge, courtesy of a local mammography screening fund.
- Silver Leaf Award: Community Relations (one-time) — Radiology Associates of Hartford, Mammothon Event
New media honors
With increasingly strict regulations and policies impacting hospital operations, medical device manufacturers have been forced to reevaluate their selling propositions. Instead of focusing on product features, the cardiac operating room team now is focused – along with the rest of the hospital – on health care reform compliance. For Sorin Cardiopulmonary, we developed the SCORE Multimedia Application to offer instant access to clinical benefits — safety, blood conservation and impact on cost — provided by the company’s cardiac surgery products.
- Bronze Leaf Award: New Media — Sorin Cardiopulmonary, SCORE Multimedia Application
Sorin Heart Valves needed a tool for their sales and marketing personnel to have instant and constant access to the most up-to-date sales and clinical documents and media for use in calls with surgeons and hospital administrators. The Library iPad Application provides access to up-to-date sales and clinical information relevant to Sorin products, sorted into a variety of categories that are easy for the user to navigate.
- Silver Leaf Award: New Media — Sorin Heart Valves, Library iPad Application
A series of functional and highly successful Medical Affairs Bulletins was developed to communicate the value of Atherotech Diagnostics Lab’s VAP® Lipid Panel — an advanced cholesterol test — to a clinical audience.
- Bronze Leaf Award: Writing, Sales/Marketing Materials — Atherotech Diagnostics Lab, Medical Affairs Bulletin Series
A case study brochure was designed for Radiology Associates of Hartford to make an effective and persuasive argument in favor of using a specially augmented MRI system to more accurately assess and characterize cancerous lesions within the prostate gland.
- Bronze Leaf Award: Writing, Sales/Marketing Materials — Radiology Associates of Hartford, Prostate Cancer Case Study
It’s an honor to be recognized for our hard work and dedication to producing consistently well-performing advertising and communications programs. This year in particular, we’re proud to receive recognition in an important and growing area of marketing — application development. We’re grateful to our clients for giving us the latitude needed to create exceptional campaigns.
