It was a great night at the Colorado Healthcare Communicators (CHC) 2013 Gold Leaf Awards last night! Armada Medical Marketing sponsored the new-this-year After Party, offering the signature Armada Colada and a raffle of local Denver gifts and goodies.

Project: Launch of the First Prosthetic Aorta with a Biological Heart Valve

Planning/Goals of the Project: 

Sorin Group, a global medical device company and a leader in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, requested Armada Medical Marketing’s assistance to successfully launch the company’s latest innovation: the Mitroflow® Valsalva Conduit. The new device is a solution for patients requiring both an aortic valve replacement and a prosthetic aorta. Armada Medical developed product launch messaging and materials to effectively position the new FDA-approved biological valve product available for the procedure. The resulting collateral system was designed to:

  • Drive product and brand awareness and preference among cardiac surgeons 
  • Provide surgeons with the clinical information about the conduit’s immediate and long-term benefits
  • Create messaging to help surgeons rationalize use of the product with other decision-makers

With increasingly strict regulations and policies impacting hospital operations, medical device manufacturers have been forced to reevaluate their selling propositions. Instead of focusing on product features, manufacturers must communicate how they can help hospitals comply with health care reform, electronic medical record integration, as well as risk and overall cost mitigation.

Big Win at the Gold Leaf Awards

Remember when we so boldly said we expected a win at the 2011 Colorado Healthcare Communicators Gold Leaf Awards?

We’re staying true to our word and last Thursday took home four awards for excellence in marketing, public relations, social media and creative design. Armada received three Silver Leaf Awards and one Bronze Leaf Award for its work.

Banners You Just Couldn’t Miss, Part II

Client: Sorin Heart Valves

Project: Hanging Banners for the AATS 91st Annual Meeting

Planning/Goals of Project:

In the Periscope article Banners You Just Couldn’t Miss, Part I, Armada designed four circular, double-sided banners specifically for a unique space at the San Diego Convention Center. These are no ordinary banners, with a diameter of 19 feet. Based on our outstanding success at the San Diego conference, our client, a global medical device manufacturer — Sorin Group — negotiated with AATS conference managers to use these same banners in the Grand Hall at the American Association for Thoracic Surgery 91st Annual Meeting in the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Our marketing team was presented with another challenging scenario for this meeting: sponsor space in the Pennsylvania Convention Center to display the banners (the easy part) and figure out a way to effectively hang them (the difficult part) in this unique venue.

Armada Medical Marketing is very proud to have received two awards at the 2011 Colorado Business Marketing Association’s Gold Key Awards, which recognizes the best B2B marketing and advertising in the state.

Our agency received a Gold Award in Product Literature / Collateral Material (print or electronic): Product-specific or service-specific brochures or catalogs. We also received a Silver Award in Promotional Product Material: Printed materials, posters, calendars, incentives, sales and reseller kits.
